Employers cutting back on 401(k) plans

If you have a 401 K plan with your employer and they are still matching your contribution, be sure to contribute to it. Your 401 K builds up quick with the added "Free" contribution your employer makes. Remember, employers do not have to issue retirement plans to their employees so take advantage of it while you can.

  1. I agree, so many people overlook their 401-K because of the negative talk on how others are losing money on theirs, not realizing that you can choose low risk options. The employer match is free money they are giving to you, how can you say no to that!!

  2. Come on people! Start taking some responsibility and don't rely on your employer to give you more than is your due. Financial planning and all that. You can invest independent of your employment. CDs and the like.
