Now may be the best time to start that business you have always wanted, according to a new study by the Kauffman Foundation. "Nearly half of Inc. magazine’s 2008 list of the 500 fastest-growing companies were founded during these slow periods."

It goes on to say that unemplyment, like we are currently experiencing, offers many experienced people the opportunity to do what they always wanted, become their own boss.

  1. A great example is Google. I believe they were founded in 1998, at the start of the "dotcom" bubble.

After the bubble bust, and we were in the "post 9/11" recession, Google only grew. They went public in 2004 and never looked back. . . and now the company / its services are the ubiquitous tool of the internet.
