The Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of businesses having more power to fend the cases brought up against them from workers saying they were discriminated against because of their age. This ruling caused some justices and senators to speak out against the ruling. One senator even said that the justices that ruled in favor of this are going against precedent. The case brought up was of a case against FBL Financial Group Inc in which one employee was moved from his position as a director to a coordinator and a younger employee took over his director position.

  1. Older is not necessarily wiser. Sometimes older workers need to be replaced with younger ones. It's an unfortunate fact of life. However, the individual with the best skill set for the job should be awarded it unless there are extenuating circumstances that make them less than desirable.

And hey, just because you can get a job now, doesn't mean you can quit learning. Keep up with things. Know what is going on...or at least as much as the younger competition.
